Julia DiFiori is a comedy writer born and raised in LA.
Julia DiFiori’s writing career began in the first grade when she wrote a book report on a book she never read. She got an A on the book report.
She went on to receive the John F. Oberlin Academic Scholarship at Oberlin College of Arts & Sciences (Class of 2020), where she earned her Bachelor’s Degrees in Cinema Studies and Creative Writing.
Julia tells stories about maintaining childlike wonder and the pursuit of fun in the real world. In addition to her portfolio of spec scripts and original pilots, Julia is the co-writer of sketches including “Blackberries Are Purple” and “Should We Do Something Creative?” She has even been known to host open mics and perform stand-up at The Hollywood Comedy.
As a freelance scriptwriter specializing in comedy-infused copywriting, she works with creative agencies such as Sandwich Video and Scout Lab. Julia’s produced commercial scripts include “Touch the Universe” and “Dot-to-Dot by Hello Heart.”
She has also worked as a Set PA for productions including Marvel’s television series Callback (2023), a promotional interview for Coyote Lake (2019), and an interview preshow for This Changes Everything (2018).
Julia is in her first year of earning her M.F.A. in Television Writing and Producing from Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts.
She spends her free time eating pasta, collaging, and writing music with her indie pop trio Pop Quiz.
